We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Swimming Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for teaching and a strong desire to make a positive impact on children’s early swimming experiences. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to groups of young swimmers.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate swimming lessons for children aged 6 months upwards.
- Assess the abilities of swimmers to ensure they are placed in the appropriate level and monitor their progress.
- Create a supportive and motivating environment for young swimmers, encouraging their development and building their confidence in the water.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians, providing updates on their child’s progress and offering guidance on how to support their swimming journey outside of lessons.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during lessons, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Level 2 Swimming Instructor qualification or equivalent.
- Experience teaching swimming to young children, with a patient and nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage children and reassure parents.
- A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo a DBS check.
- A passion for swimming and teaching, with a commitment to developing young swimmers
